Drilling Marine Superintendent
Job Description
This position offers the opportunity to lead the marine governance of the entire fleet from HQ.ResponsibilitiesPlan and supervise rig moves across the fleet, coordinate with operations, logistics, marine warranty surveyors, and tug providersEnsure compliance with flag state, classification society (INSB, ABS, DNV, BV, LR), and ISM/ISPS requirements for all assetsServe as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Company Security Officer (CSO) interface for fleet marine operationsLead marine incident investigations; coordinate with operations and HSE teams to drive corrective actions and lessons learnedAudit ballast control, stability calculations, watertight integrity, and load-capacity compliance fleet-wideDraft, maintain and update marine operations procedures, rig-move manuals, weather criteria, and emergency response plansManage marine warranty surveys, class renewals, statutory inspections, and certification renewalsProvide remote and on-site marine support; deploy to rigs for rig moves, mobilisations, demobilisations, and critical incidentsGenerate marine KPIs and compliance reports; benchmark fleet performance and recommend marine-integrity improvementsQualificationsMaster Mariner / Class 1 Engineer / OIM Unlimited license, or equivalent maritime credentials15+ years of experience in offshore drilling marine operations, including senior shore-based or HQ Marine Superintendent rolesDemonstrated track record in rig moves, marine integrity audits, and class/flag state compliance for MODU operationsStrong understanding of ISM/ISPS Codes, MARPOL, SOLAS, and applicable DNV/ABS/BV/LR class requirementsExperience as DPA and/or CSO under a recognised flag administrationFamiliarity with stability software, ballast and loading systems, and CMMS marine modulesOffshore medical and survival certifications as requiredFluent English communication skills; French is a strong advantage given fleet operating regions#J-18808-Ljbffr
