Worldline, leading player in payments industry in Europe and listed on the SBF 120, is looking for an M&A Director to execute the M&A strategy managing the end-to-end process. Services offered by Worldline in the areas of Merchant Services and Financial Services include domestic and cross-border commercial acquiring, both in-store and online, highly-secure payment transaction processing. In 2024 Worldline generated a revenue of €4.6 billion.You will be part of the M&A team (6 professionals in total) and will participate in M&A deal executions.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesUnder the responsibility of the CFO, Worldline’s M&A team is at the heart of the firm’s current strategy. The M&A Director will have comprehensive exposure to the entire M&A process, from origination to closing:Consider and assess the potential of existing portfolio assets from an M&A perspective, identifying opportunities to enhance value creationContribute to the creation of high-quality project deliverables, including materials for the investment committee or top management, acquisition/disposal rationale documentation, and decision-making support toolsParticipate in the complete lifecycle of M&A execution, including monitoring due diligence, managing processes, and ensuring adherence to deadlinesAssist in the financial analysis and valuation of prospective acquisition targets, ensuring accuracy and relevance in evaluationsCoordinate with external advisors (bankers, lawyers, due diligence) and internal divisions (legal M&A, PMI, strategy)Conduct competitive analyses to evaluate the relative strengths and weaknesses of key competitors, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-makingWho are you?Skills and experienceTop Business School with a specialization in Corporate Finance5-8 years working experience, ideally in Transaction ServicesStrong financial analysis, modeling, business valuation and understanding of M&A process managementCollaboration, proactive mindset, and exceptional communication skillsAbility to manage multiple transactions simultaneously; strong project management and organizational skillsDemonstrate ability to perform effectively under pressure, showcase resilience and adaptability in challenging situationsStrong appetite to understand the complexities of the payments sectorExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)LanguagesFluent French and English speaking, analysis, and writing skillsOther languages will be an advantage (German, Spanish, or other)BenefitsBe part of a company guided by a strong purpose to do good and recognized as top 1% of the most sustainable companies in all sectors worldwide.Work with inspiring colleagues and be empowered to learn, grow and accelerate your career.32 days paid vacation and 13th month convertible into vacation time75% reimbursement of public transport costsVery active works council (evenings, trips, cultural and leisure subsidies, etc.)Teleworking agreementSubsidized company restaurantHealth and provident insuranceShape the evolutionWe are pushing towards the next frontiers of payments technology, and we look for big thinkers to join our journey.
