Intermediate Software/Cloud Architect

Required Clearance: Top Secret. Certifications: DoD 8140 certifications. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Required Experience: 5-7 years in software development, systems design, or IT architecture; 5+ years in cloud architecture and large-scale cloud deployments.ResponsibilitiesAssist in designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures that meet business and technical requirementsContribute to system architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and reference modelsSupport microservices, API-driven design, and integration across applications and platformsHelp deploy, configure, and manage services across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Support cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiativesImplement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormationWork closely with developers, DevOps, and security engineers to ensure architectural alignmentParticipate in Agile/DevSecOps teams to deliver software in secure and scalable environmentsProvide technical input during sprint planning, design sessions, and code reviewsProficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)Familiarity with cloud-native services (serverless, storage, networking, databases)Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practicesBasic understanding of cloud security concepts, IAM, and compliance requirementsRequired QualificationsDoD 8140 CertificationDesired QualificationsMaster’s degree preferredAbout PingWindPingWind is focused on delivering outstanding services to the federal government.
