The EHS Project Manager is responsible for leading, implementing, and continuously improving Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) performance on assigned projects.

The role operates under the authority of the Project Director and the Country EHS Manager where the project is executed. The EHS Project Manager ensures alignment with Exyte standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations, while driving a strong Incident Free Workplace Culture.

The position includes managing on-site EHS teams, acting as the primary interface with the Client's EHS representative and authorities, and ensuring operational excellence across all project phases.

Mobility is mandatory: France as priority & Europe as a plus.

Position is project based.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
• Lead the implementation of EHS strategies, policies, and standards in line with: Exyte's requirements (IFW, Visual Standards, Life Saving Rules), Client expectations, Local and European regulation
• Act as the primary point of contact for the Client's EHS representative and local authorities (e.g. CSPS, regulatory bodies)
• Manage and lead the project EHS team, including EHS Advisors and supported by an EHS Coordinator
• Ensure proper team structure, coordination, performance monitoring, and development
• Drive the deployment of the Incident Free Workplace Culture
• Ensure implementation of Best Practice / Best Known Methods
• Oversee the preparation, review, and validation of Risk Assessments Method Statements / Safety documentation
• Lead and validate construction risk assessments and site hazard analyses
• Review design documents to ensure safe constructability and risk minimization
• Participate in design risk reviews and development of Safety & Health Plan
• Implement the EHS Plan Construction Plan
• Conduct site inspections, formal audits, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Lead incident management (notification, investigation, Root cause analysis, Reporting, Follow-up of corrective actions)
• Monitor EHS performance (KPis)

Show your expertise

  • 4/5 year degree (Associate/Bachelor level) in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience on construction sites
  • Proven experience in:
  • Managing EHS teams on complex construction projects
  • Client interface and authority management
  • Risk assessment and site safety leadership
  • Deployment of EHS systems and continuous improvement program
