Head of Industrial Controlling

Job Description

AM Mediterranean Finance department, as part of the Finance of ArcelorMittal Flat Europe is looking for his Responsible Head of Industrial Controlling, a key position within the plant and Finance organization, reporting to the Head of Controlling & Accounting, this position is:
  • Part of the Local Finance Management Committee, but also works closely with central finance team in Luxembourg, heads of department and Management committee of the cluster
  • In charge of the cost of production of from Coke plant to Hot Strip Mill,

Leading a team of 3 Controllers, you will support the business in decision making process, as the main partner of our Chief Operational Officer. You will also be in charge of cost forecast, monthly closing, actions plan follow up, reporting and analysis of your perimeter, and participate to the business strategic files of the clusters.

Position based in Fos-sur-mer

MAIN MISSIONS (Not exhaustive):
  • Closing:
    • Ensures the controls carried out by the controllers in compliance with Group rules, and analyzes and organizes the necessary corrective actions
    • Re-estimates monthly KPI landing point
    • Organizes, within his team, the sharing of information and the arbitrations carried out daily during closing
  • Forecast:
    • Consolidates, ensures the consistency, and challenges the input data of controllers in order to develop the financial forecast of his perimeter
    • Develops or adjusts forecasts according to the evolution of the macro KPIs
    • Declines to the stakeholders and with their support, the financial targets defined by the Management Committee on the necessary scale
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Pilots the analysis of controllers (control, deepening, challenge...) to provide a consolidated analysis and proposes progress or corrective actions
    • Animates the reporting activity
    • Conduct strategic analyzes with top management
    • Promotes progress plans and/or simulations with its partner in Management Committee
    • Prepares financial performance review, and animates the reviews
    • Organizes the alignment of the processes and methods of his team
  • Management / Project
    • Member of Finance steering committee raises all alerts and reports about activities
    • Manage priority of the team
    • Pilots progress actions of his process
    • Represents AM Mediterranean Finance team in local project, and European Finance organization for projects related to his scope
    • Liaise with PMO of the plant and ensure proper valuation, consideration in our forecast, follow the action plan with departements.

SKILLS
  • High analytic and synthesis skills
  • Knowledge of SAP R2R / BI

  • Ideally already worked in Industry environment
  • Comfortable with financial IT tools

LANGUAGE REQUIRED : fluent in French & English

SENIORITY : 10-15 years of experience

PROFILE : Master's degree in financial controlling & reporting (business or engineering school) with experience in industrial company (related to mining and/or steel, strongly appreciated)
