- Astorg is a leading European private equity firm, with a track record of consistently delivering >27% annual return on investment for over 25 years. We make investments across Europe and the US in B2B global niche-leading private companies and manage €23bn assets
- This role is an internship in our 20-people investment team (70-people including flagship). You will be supporting the whole private equity investment lifecycle: deal sourcing, deal execution and portfolio monitoring
- You will be part of the Midcap investment team and will work across all three of Astorg's priority sectors (healthcare, technology, business services) on companies with HQs across France and Benelux and with an international footprint
- Start date: ASAP / July 2026
- Duration: 4 months (flexible)
- Location: Paris and remote
- Compensation: €2,200 / month
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting formation of investment theses on potential acquisition targets
- Performing research to gather information about companies of interest
- Conducting operational and financial modelling
- Preparing syntheses, analyses and memos to present businesses internally
- Presenting points of view on investment opportunities
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Numerical / business degree preferred (Maths, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Physics, etc.), with outstanding academic track record (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, X, Mines, Centrale, Ponts...)
- Previous internship experience in M&A investment banking, Management Consulting or Private Equity is highly preferred
- Native or fluent French speaker with fluent English mandatory. Other European languages (German, Italian) an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills and verbal reasoning
- Ability to work under pressure and independently, and manage deadlines
- True team player
- Enjoys entrepreneurial environments where autonomy and initiative are encouraged
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Right to work in France
