Software Platform Engineer SD-WAN/SASE

Job Context:

As part of the R&D SDx department, reporting to the Gitops SDx R&D Manager, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining all the open-source solutions used by the NMS product teams. You will contribute to strategic projects involving the management and monitoring of SD-WAN, SASE, SSE, and network security solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide and maintain (bugs, CVEs) open-source software needed by the product teams
• Select and validate the open-source components taking part in our solutions in accordance with the product team and the management
• Share your expertise, provide technical support and resolve incidents related to deployment and integration with all product team members (documentation, configuration, ...)
• Stay up to date with the latest tools and open-source software and DevOps
• Collaborate with backend and frontend development teams to ensure consistency and performance of solutions
• Set up and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and updates
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices for software integration
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

Profile:

Experience & Education

• 5 years of experience in development and integration based on an open-source ecosystem, preferably on web applications based on microservices
• Engineering degree or master's in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Technical Skills

• Very strong knowledge of Debian & Ubuntu Linux distributions, open-source ecosystem, and more specifically tools like: NGNIX, Redis, MQTT, KeyCloak, MariaDB, ...
• Very good knowledge of Linux administration
• Solid skills in development (python, shell, go, ...) of container-based applications in the Linux ecosystem.
• Knowledge of microservices architectures and software design principles
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Good expertise in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT, SAML)
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
