The Position

MARSS is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join its international team.

The role is introduced as part of MARSS' growth strategy and includes most aspects of the Procurement process, focusing on strategic vendors and packages: market intelligence, PO placement, manufacturing follow-up and supplier management.

The position will also be in charge of proposing and conducting the development of the MARSS supply chain organization.

Main Responsibilities

With a primary focus on strategic key vendors, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for:

Procurement:

-management of key/strategic vendors ensuring competitive pricing, constant visibility on delivery capabilities versus MARSS prospect pipeline and schedule

-manages the qualification process of new vendors

-defines and optimises procurement strategies towards current and new vendors

-manages the procurement process from definition of the requirement with technical expert/project manager to delivery on site and subsequent vendor support on site

-aligns with the Contracts team to ensure vendors terms and conditions are aligned with Prime Contracts conditions (e.g. payment terms, schedule, warranty and site support)

-conducts vendors performance reviews and lessons learned

Corporate Supply Chain developments:

-develops and structures the Supply Chain activities within MARSS

-is the Contact Point and mentors others on Supply Chain matters

Market intelligence and sourcing:

-monitors market trends and scans the market for potential suppliers, in coordination with technical experts and project managers

-stays up to date with changes that may affect the supply market,

-identifies and suggest new products and suppliers whenever appropriate

Logistics:

- support and oversee the logistic department including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and logistics planning

Team Management:

- overseeing, training, and advising of team members.

- establishing team objectives and goals

- coordinating and liaising with other internal departments (sales, sales operations, legal, project..)

Requirements

You have a minimum experience of 5 years' working in the procurement of material and equipment with high technical/technological content, in the Defense, Military, Space industries.

Ideally you have a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics.

You are highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers. You have strong negotiation, influencing and organizational skills; and good commercial, contractual and financial acumen.
