⌘ About Timeleft
Timeleft is a social app that brings strangers together. We match people into groups of 6 and send them to restaurants, cafés, and bars for dinners, drinks, coffees, and runs. Every week, 150,000+ people go on Timeleft events across 200+ cities in 52 countries. We're 100 employees and growing fast.
Behind that moment is a product that has to do something rare on the internet: ask people to show up somewhere new with five people they've never met. From the first booking to the brave hello at the table, design is what helps people through the flow - from a screen into a room full of strangers.
⌘ The role
We're hiring our Senior Product Designer to own design end-to-end at Timeleft. You'll work across our mobile app, our web surfaces (including back-office tools), and our design system - partnering directly with the VP of Product and Product Managers.
You won't have a design manager. You'll be the most senior design voice in the room, owning the design quality bar across the board.
This is the right job if you want craft, scope, and direct influence on a consumer product used in 52 countries. It's the wrong job if you want a design leader above you to set direction.
⌘ What you'll do
Introduction Interview (30min): A conversation with Talent Acquisition Lead to discuss your experience, career goals, and how they align with our mission at Timeleft.
Skills Assessment (45min): An interview with our Product Managers about how you work, how well you balance between business needs and users feedback and mutual fit.
Final interview (45min-60min): An interview with VP Product to discuss your past projects and challenge your business vision during a short live case.

⌘ What you'll do
- Own end-to-end design across our mobile app, web, back office, and design system - translating product goals and user insights into thoughtful, high-quality UX.
- Lead design discovery and execution across the full process - from concept exploration and prototyping to detailed interaction and visual design - with a strong bias toward learning and iteration.
- Partner closely with product managers and engineers to define problems, explore opportunities, and deliver solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Apply systems thinking to keep our work consistent and scalable, and evolve the design system as we grow.
- Communicate design rationale clearly and confidently, using storytelling and data to build alignment and move teams forward with purpose.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, take ownership of your work, and adapt plans with an agile mindset as priorities evolve.
- Use AI-powered design tools to accelerate exploration, prototype ideas, and synthesize insights, while applying human judgment and care to final decisions.
- 5+ years designing mobile consumer products, with a portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership and thoughtful problem-solving across mobile-first experiences.
- Strong interaction and visual design. Knows when to polish and when to ship.
- Proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, and comfort working across multiple levels of fidelity - from early concepts to polished, production-ready designs.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product managers and engineers, taking ownership while working toward shared outcomes.
- Experience using AI tools to support design workflows and ideation, with curiosity about how AI can responsibly enhance product design.
- A clear, empathetic communicator who can give and receive feedback constructively and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Background in social, dating, community, or marketplace consumer products.
- You are based in Paris and you can work ~3 days/week in office.
- Not a design management role. This is senior IC. If you want to manage designers as your day job, this isn't the right one.
- Not a brand or marketing design role. You'll design product, not campaigns or brand assets.
- Not a role where you wait for direction. No design leader above you means you set the agenda. If that sounds stressful instead of exciting, pass.
- The most senior design seat at the table. You set the bar - no design manager filtering your work, no committee approving your decisions.
- A consumer product with real-world impact. You're shaping an IRL product that connects thousands of people in real life - your design decisions show up in actual conversations between people who'd never have met otherwise.
- Foundational design work. You'll shape what design looks like at Timeleft for the next phase of the company - from the system to the rituals to the first hires after you.
- A small, fast team. High ownership. Short distance between an idea and a real user trying it.
