The role: Head of API Sales
We are seeking a commercially driven leader to own and scale our go-to-market strategy, accelerate API-led revenue, and build strategic partnerships with fintech players across Europe, including payment institutions, credit institutions, wealth management platforms, retail brokers, and treasury management platforms.
As Head of API Sales, you will lead the full sales lifecycle end-to-end from prospecting and deal structuring to managing distributor partnerships and driving long-term account growth. You will be accountable for revenue performance, partner success, and the expansion of our embedded distribution model.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will define and execute Spiko's commercial strategy, playing a critical role in scaling our embedded business, deepening partner relationships, and driving sustained AUM growth across European markets.

The role: Head of API Sales

Key responsibilities
- Lead the go-to-market strategy and drive end-to-end execution of the sales cycle from prospecting to account management for our embedded product (Spiko API),
- Build a sales engine and a team of individual contributors capable of covering the entire European fintech market, and eventually beyond,
- Collaborate with the product team to translate market feedback into roadmap priorities,
- Work closely with the compliance team to navigate the regulatory landscape and deliver solutions that effectively meet customers' needs while fully integrating regulatory requirements,
- Represent Spiko at top-tier fintech conferences and events.
Who we're looking for
Requirements (must-haves):
- B2B sales experience: Proven track record in driving the full B2B sales cycle, from identifying and nurturing prospects to closing deals and managing long-term client relationships.
- Fintech & embedded finance expertise: Senior-level experience at a fintech, with hands-on responsibility for selling and scaling API-based products across partners and distributors.
- Fintech network: Extensive knowledge of the European fintech landscape across payments, investment, wealth management, and credit, complemented by a proven, high-level network that enables access to key decision-makers.
- Communication & negotiation: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills (full proficiency in English).
- Entrepreneurial mindset: You are highly ambitious and driven to play a key role in a team building a global leader in financial services, fully embracing the dedication and challenges this requires. Creative and proactive, you thrive in a fast-paced, lean startup environment.
