SPX FLOW is seeking a highly experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Evaporation and Dry Technologies to act as an internal technical consultant supporting Sales, Engineering, and Project Execution teams.

This role is key to driving business growth, optimizing plant performance, and delivering high-value technical solutions across Food & Beverage and related process industries.

About the Role

As an SME, you will provide advanced technical expertise in evaporation and drying processes, supporting both new sales opportunities and execution of complex capital projects.

A major focus of the role is on plant upgrades, modifications, and optimization, including feasibility studies, on-site audits, and solution development.

You will act as a technical authority across multiple functions and ensure all engineering and commercial decisions are supported by accurate and high-quality process expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Expertise & Consulting

• Act as internal technical consultant in evaporation and drying technologies
• Provide expert guidance to Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Service teams
• Conduct feasibility studies and on-site technical audits
• Define and validate technical solutions for plant upgrades and optimization

Sales & Proposal Support

• Support Sales teams in client engagement and technical presentations
• Develop value propositions highlighting technical differentiation
• Review RFQs and URS documents to identify risks and deviations
• Define contractual technical commitments and quotation inputs
• Support development of cost-optimized and competitive solutions

Engineering & Project Support

• Act as technical authority during design reviews and solution development
• Support process engineering and act as Lead Engineer when required
• Provide technical input across project execution phases
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams globally

Installation, Commissioning & Service Support

• Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities
• Conduct site audits and resolve process-related technical issues
• Ensure proper documentation and structured knowledge capture

Innovation & Development

• Contribute to new product development (NPD) and process innovation
• Support R&D collaboration and customer co-development initiatives
• Participate in pilot testing and innovation center activities
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Deliver technical training to customers and internal teams when required
• Share best practices and enhance organizational technical capability

What We're Looking For
• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or related field)
• Strong expertise in evaporation and drying technologies
• Extensive experience in Food & Beverage or Dairy industries
• Proven experience delivering projects > $5M USD
• Strong background in process design and engineering execution
• Experience working across sales, engineering, and project functions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to influence and work in global matrix environments
• Fluent English (written and spoken)

Annual salary: 63,500 - 88,280 EUR, depending on experience and qualifications
