The Project
You will join a major EPC project environment within a structured and international organization, working on complex offshore and marine logistics operations. The role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective transportation solutions aligned with project schedules and corporate standards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (procurement, T&I, engineering, and project management) while contributing to high-value marine operations and continuous improvement in chartering practices.
The Role
As a Chartering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of marine transportation and chartering activities, from tendering to execution. You will ensure operational excellence, contractual compliance, and cost optimization across all chartering operations.

You will play a key role in vessel selection, contract negotiation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely and on time.
Key ResponsibilitiesChartering & Tendering Management
  • Prepare bidder lists and conduct vessel owner screening including compliance checks
  • Develop and issue Call for Bid (CFB) packages and Charter Party documentation
  • Manage the full tendering process using digital tools (e.g., People Connect)
  • Lead technical and commercial bid evaluations in coordination with stakeholders
Vessel Selection & Contracting
  • Lead vessel selection based on technical feasibility, routing, and schedule constraints
  • Ensure full contractual alignment and flow-down into Charter Party Agreements (BIMCO)
  • Conduct commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing and conditions
  • Finalize agreements and ensure accurate documentation (MoM, CPA updates)
Operations & Execution Follow-up
  • Ensure timely mobilization and availability of marine fleet
  • Provide operational instructions (voyage planning, bunkering, reporting, etc.)
  • Monitor marine transport activities to ensure compliance, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Coordinate permits, licenses, and offshore operational requirements
Contract & Financial Management
  • Monitor financial aspects related to chartering activities and contracts
  • Ensure all contractual documentation (certificates, guarantees, bonds) is in place
  • Track performance and proactively identify risks and contractual issues
Reporting & Coordination
  • Produce fleet status reports (ETA, risks, performance) for project stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Chartering and Project Management
  • Ensure procedures and working instructions are issued and client-approved
Tools & Systems
  • BIMCO SmartCon
  • People Connect (or equivalent procurement tools)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, reporting tools)
Profile RequiredExperience
  • Proven experience in Chartering / Marine Logistics within EPC projects
  • Strong expertise in BIMCO Charter Party contracts
  • Experience managing tendering processes and vessel selection
Technical Skills
  • Solid understanding of offshore logistics and marine operations
  • Knowledge of international standards (API, AISC, etc.)
  • Strong contractual and commercial negotiation capabilities
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong coordination and organizational abilities
  • Proactive mindset with strong risk awareness
  • Ability to work in complex, international project environments
Languages
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
