Job description
Would you like to be at the heart of building a new production facility and actively contribute to a major project in the aerospace sector?
Safran Seats is looking for a Quality Stream Manager to drive the quality activities for our new Dubai-based production entity dedicated to the manufacture and assembly of aircaft seats.
The Quality Stream Manager is responsible for defining, building and deploying the Quality Management System (QMS) of the new production subsidiary in Dubai, which will be created from scratch either as a standalone Seats facility, or a joint-venture with its customer Emirates, for the manufacture of parts and the assembly of aircraft seats.
From the project phase through to the delivery of the first part (Q3 2027), he/she ensures compliance with:
• airworthiness regulatory requirements (EASA, FAA, GCAA, and any other relevant NAAs);
• contractual requirements;
• aerospace standards (AS/EN/JISQ 9100 and related standards);
• Safran and Safran Seats requirements, notably GRP-0087 and related standards;
• specific customer or program requirements (Emirates, airframers, other end customers).
He/She implements robust Quality governance for operations and suppliers, prepares operational performance (Quality for OTD, Cost of Non-Quality, delivered quality) and builds the future Quality organisation of the subsidiary.
In a potential second phase, this Quality organisation may be led in Dubai by the same person as Quality Director, or by another appointee.
The Quality Stream Manager is a key member of the project team and works in close cooperation with the Commercial, Facilities and Industrialization, Industrial Transfer and Human Resources streams. He is supported by the required specialists inside the Quality organization.
• Scope: Safran Seats's Dubai implementation, covering initially the manufacture of parts and the assembly of aircraft seats.
• End-to-end scope: design support, industrialisation, production, assembly, testing, delivery and post delivery support for the products manufactured in Dubai.
• QMS scope: design, build and deployment of a fit-for-purpose, optimised QMS for EMSA Dubai, fully compliant with:
o airworthiness regulatory requirements (EASA, FAA, GCAA and any other relevant NAAs);
o applicable aerospace standards (AS/EN/JISQ 9100 and related standards);
o Safran and Safran Seats requirements, notably GRP0087 and related standards;
o specific customer and program requirements (notably Emirates and airframers).
• Contractual scope: ensure alignment with the Quality clauses of the contracts and associated flow down to the EMSA supply chain.
• Interfaces: act as the Quality focal point for the EMSA Dubai project, working closely with the Commercial, Facilities & Industrialization, Industrial Transfer and Human Resources streams, and being supported by the necessary specialists from within the Safran Seats Quality organisation (Supplier Quality, Development Quality, Certification, etc.).
But what else? (advantages, specificities, etc.)
Project phase: Safran Seats site (Europe - to be defined), with frequent travel to Dubai
Target phase (optional second phase): potential transfer on local contract to Dubai Q4 2027, to take up the position of Quality Director of the subsidiary
