Senior Business Development Manager - Public Sector (France)

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing team in France. In this role, you will be responsible for driving complex new business opportunities and expanding Iron Mountain's presence across the French Public Sector landscape. As a senior, customer-facing quota carrier, you will engage with high-level government stakeholders, build influential partnerships, and position Iron Mountain as a trusted advisor in digital transformation, information governance, and innovative data management solutions.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of public sector procurement, government engagement, and strategic enterprise sales, combined with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and long sales cycles.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategic business development initiatives focused on French Public Sector organizations, government entities, and regulated institutions.
  • Own and manage the full enterprise sales lifecycle, from market mapping and strategic prospecting through to negotiation, contract award, and long-term partnership development.
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with executive and government stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on digital transformation and information management strategies.
  • Drive complex negotiated and public tender/RFP sales processes, ensuring alignment with procurement frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, solution engineering, bid management, and executive leadership teams to deliver tailored, high-value proposals.
  • Represent Iron Mountain within relevant government, policy, and industry forums to strengthen market visibility and strategic positioning.
  • Mentor and support junior business development colleagues, contributing to a high-performance and collaborative sales culture.
  • Build and maintain an accurate, high-value sales pipeline and forecasting model to support long-term revenue growth across the region.


What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant enterprise solution sales experience within SaaS, Digital Transformation, Information Management, or related technology-driven environments.
  • Strong and demonstrable experience selling into the French Public Sector, including government ministries, agencies, or regulated public institutions.
  • Experience in government affairs, public policy engagement, sponsorship initiatives, mentorship programs, or strategic institutional relationship management.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments and influence C-level, procurement, and government decision-makers.
  • Strong strategic hunting and consultative solution-selling capabilities, with experience managing long and complex sales cycles.
  • Expertise in building and managing enterprise-level pipelines, forecasting accurately, and consistently delivering against ambitious sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in both French and English.
  • A degree from a leading institution such as Sciences Po or a comparable university is highly desirable. International academic exposure, particularly in combination with institutions such as the London School of Economics (LSE), would be considered a strong advantage.
