About the Role
The L12 Field Service Engineer will provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for IT systems and end-user devices. This role is ideal for candidates starting their technology career or those with 2-5 years of experience in IT support or field services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Perform hardware installation, replacement, and basic repairs.
- Troubleshoot OS-related issues (Windows / macOS) and common applications.
- Provide basic network support (LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, patching).
- Install and configure software as per company policies.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams.
- Maintain service logs, update ticketing tools, and follow SLA timelines.
- Assist users courteously and communicate technical details clearly.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in IT support or field service (freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply).
- Basic understanding of:
- Windows OS / macOS
- Hardware components & troubleshooting
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi)
- Office 365 and common productivity tools
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Good communication skills in English;
Preferred Skills
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience using ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, etc.)
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash)
