- Astorg is a leading European private equity firm, with a track record of consistently delivering >27% annual return on investment for over 25 years. We make investments across Europe and the US in B2B global niche-leading private companies and manage €23bn assets
- This role is an internship in our 70-strong global investment team. You will be supporting the whole private equity investment lifecycle: deal sourcing, deal execution and portfolio monitoring
- You will be part of either our Flagship (Astorg VIII) or Midcap investment team and will work across all three of Astorg's priority sectors (healthcare, technology, business services)
- Start date: Availabilities in September 2026 & January 2027
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Paris (Fridays can be remote)
- Compensation: In line with market standards
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Supporting formation of investment theses on potential acquisition targets
- Performing research to gather information about companies of interest
- Conducting operational and financial modelling
- Preparing syntheses, analyses and memos to present businesses internally
- Presenting points of view on investment opportunities
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Numerical / business degree preferred (Maths, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Physics, etc.), with outstanding academic track record (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, X, Mines, Centrale, Ponts...)
- Previous internship experience in M&A investment banking, Management Consulting or Private Equity is highly preferred
- Native or fluent French speaker with fluent English mandatory. Other European languages (German, Italian) an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills and verbal reasoning
- Ability to work under pressure and independently, and manage deadlines
- True team player
- Enjoys entrepreneurial environments where autonomy and initiative are encouraged
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Right to work in France
