Site Manager - Automated Material Handling System

TGW Logistics is a global systems integrator specialising in automated intralogistics solutions - conveyor systems, automated storage, palletising equipment - serving leading players in e-commerce, retail distribution, and manufacturing.

Our Realization teams deliver complex turnkey installations on customer sites, from material receipt through to final system commissioning and handover.

In this context, we are recruiting a Site Manager - Automated Material Handling Systems (M/F).

What you'll be handling:

As the operational lead on site, you oversee all installation activities from, working closely with the TGW Project Manager and the customer:
  • Manage the installation schedule on a 2-3 week rolling basis: anticipate critical milestones, resolve blockers, and report progress in real time
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary site teams on a daily basis (mechanical, electrical, and automation supervisors, subcontractors and third-party vendors) through structured morning stand-up meetings
  • Identify and anticipate potential issues, and mobilize human and/or material resources to resolve them
  • Enforce HSE standards across all site activities: conduct safety inductions for incoming contractors and subcontractors, and ensure full compliance with French occupational health and safety regulations
  • Oversee material management: incoming goods inspection, quality control, and replenishment orders, liaising directly with TGW's manufacturing unit
  • Drive project reporting and documentation: weekly progress reports, meeting minutes, status matrices, in both French and English
  • Serve as the primary operational interface with the customer: day-to-day communication, issue management, and expectation alignment


What you'll need:
  • Proven track record in industrial site coordination within intralogistics, warehouse automation, or a mechatronic-intensive industry (automotive, special-purpose machinery, industrial manufacturing)
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience; able to manage conflicts calmly and keep all stakeholders aligned and moving in the same direction
  • Technical background (HND/BSc level in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent)
  • Fluent English for daily communication with international vendors and internal teams
  • Field-oriented mindset with a genuine appetite for travel (full driving licence required; weekly overnight stays)
  • Proficient in reading CAD drawings (Primbel, AutoCAD or equivalent) and competent with Microsoft Project and the MS Office suite (Excel, Word)
