Location : Fontaine (90)

The Site IT Operations Engineer for Fontaine (90) plant is responsible to:
  • Provide 1st level technical support and expertise to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.
  • Install, configure, maintain, improve and troubleshoot IT infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, backup, cabling, etc.
  • Participate the rollout and then provide support to maintain, troubleshoot, improve various IS applications including: O365, ERP, PLM, R&D, etc.
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and promptly resolve any issues that arise during daily operation to minimize disruption of operation.
  • Follow group IT standards and implement best practices for IT security and compliance.
  • Act as liaison for IT system rollouts, maintaining seamless communication and collaboration with regional and Group-level stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to the country/cluster IT manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, update and maintain proper operation documentation including contingency plans for local application systems and keep it up to date.


Main activities

End users support
  • Work with global IT service team to provide onsite technical support to end users.
  • Manage and maintain end user's hardware and software, ensure end user devices and software are up-to-date with latest patches and updates.


System Installation and Configuration
  • Install, configure, and maintain office IT systems, such as PCs, mobiles, servers, networks, and software applications
  • Provide technical support for system upgrades and migrations.


Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
  • Diagnose and resolve IT-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures to reduce the occurrence of IT issues.


Network Management
  • Manage and maintain the local area network (LAN).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot as first level for WAN infrastructure, open local ISP ticket and follow up for resolution, escalate to global operation team for issues beyond local capability.
  • Prepare and configure switches and firewalls to handover to global operation team for completion final set up.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist global operation team to optimize network performance for applications.


Security and Compliance
  • Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect IT systems and data from unauthorized access.
  • Ensure compliance with group IT and cyber security standards
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.


Data Management
  • Manage data backups and recovery procedures for office and R&D data, including confidential financial, HR data, design and engineering data, etc.
  • Implement data retention policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for efficient operations.


Project Management
  • Participate in IT projects related to system modernization and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and testing of new IT systems.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plan to ensure secure operation.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for global IT projects local rollout.


Stakeholder communication and collaboration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site IT operations and IT project local rollout.
  • Coordinate with L2/L3 IT Domains specialists at a Global level to ensure the right implementation of rollouts in the site.
  • Collaborate with regional and Group-level stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination to related users.
  • Create process guide, training materials and end user guides as needed.
  • Work with vendors and third-party service providers to address local technical problems.


Information Criticality & Confidentiality: This role is associated with Information Criticality Level 2 and requires strict adherence to confidentiality obligations, in line with the sensitivity of the information handled.

Required profile and skills
  • University degree or Engineering School with IT specialization or equivalent by experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT operation and infrastructure administration.
  • Proficiency in IT operations, IT infrastructure administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency of common IT systems and applications used in office and R&D environment, like O365, Auto CAD, CATIA. etc.
  • Proficiency for office network, datacenter climate control, cabling, WIFI, VLAN and IP management, etc
  • Proficiency in the local language(s) of the assigned country or cluster, and good command of English.
