01. Poste et Missions

Contexte

RATP Dev is strongly growing. After the successful bids in Singapour, Australia, France and US in 2024 and 2025, RATP Dev is willing to continue its development in Copenhagen. Copenhagen metro network is a contract of 4 metro lines, 43 KM and 44 stations. In case of successful Bid RATP Dev is looking to build a team to handover the current the operation & maintenance activities and operates a 12 years contract. Thus, this job offer is a full-time position starting S2 2026 based in Copenhagen.

Mission

The Managing Director will provide effective leadership and strategic vision for the Company. This is a hands-on position with full responsibility for contract execution, financial results and the successful delivery of operations and maintenance.

Keys Responsabilities

Leadership:
• Develop and implement strategic plans and orientations for the subsidiary in alignment with RATP Dev's overall objectives.
• Provide visionary leadership and direction to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
• Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
• Promote the company's values, role modelling them within the business and with stakeholders at all levels
• Ensure that the company maintains high standards of ethics and social responsibility wherever it does business
• Monitor industry trends, assess market opportunities, and recommend adjustments to the subsidiary's strategies.

Stakeholder management:
• Lead commercial and contractual relations with the customer and ensure we comply with contractual obligations
• Represent the subsidiary in any situation, especially with the Public Transport Authorities, Partners, subcontractors but also in diverse conferences, shows...
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as senior management and support functions, to achieve common goals.
• Lead short, medium, and long-term development goals within the strategic plan framework

Operations & Maintenance :
• Assume overall responsibility for the mobilization and the delivery of safe operations and maintenance
• Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of special projects

Budget and Performance:
• Ensure compliance with the contract and full profit/loss responsibility for the company
• Ensure adequate operational planning and financial control systems are put in place and effectively managed
• Ensure that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by the management and other employees
• Deliver against organisational KPIs and SLAs, ensuring any areas of under-performance are quickly identified and effectively managed
• Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and resource allocation plans for the operations department.
• Serve as a key liaison between operations and other functional areas, ensuring clear communication and coordination of efforts.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments and stakeholders to align operational activities with organizational goals and priorities.

Profile
• Master's degree in business administration, engineering or transportation management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role (20 years including 5 as GM), preferably as a General Manager or Director, within the public transport or service industry.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strategic thinking and ability to drive results.
• Knowledge of the public transport industry and regulatory environment.
• Ability to monitor and manage long-term contract and relationship with public authorities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Contractual terms of the position to be determined (permanent contract or MAD).
