Context:

Ekinops is expanding its cybersecurity portfolio with a new Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution, integrating advanced security capabilities from Olfeo into its SD-WAN platform

Olfeo, a subsidiary of the Ekinops group is a renowned software editor with over 20 years of expertise, we lead the way in delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions. Our platforms secure web access for hundreds of organizations through advanced Security Service Edge (SSE) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) features.

As part of our SASE solution development, we are seeking a skilled Senior Go Engineer with system passion, that will join our R&D team building the endpoint agent that stands as the first point of entry and security for the endpoint user. This endpoint agent is a key element of the company's Security Service Edge (SSE) solution, enforcing secure access, and traffic redirection for end users on Windows and macOS endpoint.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain robust Go components for the endpoint agent on Windows/macOS/Linux.
• Work with OS-level APIs (processes, networking, services/daemons, installers, permissions) to integrate deeply into the host platform.
• Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end-to-end where applicable) and participate in code reviews to ensure maintainability and reliability.
• Investigate and fix complex production issues, including concurrency bugs, platform-specific defects, and performance regressions.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and documentation for a long-lived, mission-critical agent used in production environments.

Profile and skills:

To successfully carry out the role of a Senior R&D Go Engineer, a candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Experience & Technical Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of professional Go development in production environments
• Demonstrated experience in desktop/endpoint or mobile development:
  1. Ideally system or desktop development on Windows and/or macOS (agents, heavy clients, system tools, background services).
  2. Alternatively, solid experience on mobile platforms (iOS/iPadOS/Android) with system APIs, permissions and app lifecycle management.
• Good understanding of networking and security fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS basics, SSO concepts)
• Proven experience working on complex, production-grade codebases where reliability, observability and performance are essential.
• Having a practical interest in cybersecurity topics and ecosystems would be highly appreciated.
