Teciem - Senior DevOps Engineer Job Description

Mission

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a key technical role in the design, implementation and evolution of CI/CD and cloud-native deployment practices for complex applications running on Kubernetes, in a SaaS environment.

You will contribute to the implementation and operation of GitOps-based deployment workflows, while remaining tool-agnostic and able to adapt to different CI/CD, cloud and infrastructure technologies.

You will work closely with DevOps, Development, Security and Architecture teams and contribute to defining robust, scalable and reusable platform practices.

Responsibilities

CI/CD, GitOps & Kubernetes Deployment Practices:
  • Contributing to the design and operation of modern CI/CD and GitOps deployment workflows for Kubernetes-based applications
  • Participating in the implementation and evolution of GitOps practices using Argo CD as the primary deployment tool.
  • Supporting application deployments across multiple environments with:
    • Secure and controlled deployment flows
    • Clear configuration and promotion logic


  • Operating and evolving Kubernetes deployment patterns and standards
  • Ensuring deployment traceability, reliability and reproducibility using Git as a source of truth
  • Troubleshooting deployment and runtime issues in Kubernetes environments


Deployment Observability & Operational Excellence:
  • Contributing to the definition and use of deployment and operational metrics (success rate, duration, failure causes, trends)
  • Providing visibility on deployment status and application health to engineering teams
  • Participating in deployment-related incident analysis and root cause investigations


Infrastructure as Code & Cloud:
  • Contributing to Infrastructure as Code activities using Terraform
  • Working with cloud environments on AWS and Azure, including:
    • Understanding existing cloud architecture
    • Applying and evolving Terraform configurations
  • Supporting troubleshooting and incremental improvements of IaC codebases
  • Collaborating with Cloud or Platform teams responsible for infrastructure, architecture and governance


CI/CD & Engineering Enablement:
  • Acting as a senior technical reference for DevOps practices
  • Supporting and mentoring other DevOps engineers when needed
  • Supporting development teams with CI/CD, deployment and platform usage
  • Participating in architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives


Experience required:
  • Very solid experience in the software industry, with strong experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Proven experience working on production-grade CI/CD and deployment platforms
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
  • Experience with GitOps or declarative deployment approaches (Argo CD or equivalent tools)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and/or Azure
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform)
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to take a senior technical role within a DevOps or Platform team


Technical Skills Required:
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes (application deployment, configuration, troubleshooting)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of GitOps concepts and declarative deployment models
  • Experience operating deployment tools such as Argo CD
  • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Cloud knowledge on AWS and Azure
  • Strong Linux knowledge
  • Git


Soft Skills Required:
  • Fluent English - required to work daily within an international and distributed team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to adapt to different tools, platforms and technical contexts
  • Good communication skills, able to collaborate with Dev, Ops, Security and Architecture teams
  • Ability to take ownership of technical topics while remaining pragmatic and collaborative
  • Experience working with distributed and international teams
