As a Senior Application Technologist, you will play an important technical role in developing food and food supplement concepts, supporting customer projects, and sharing your expertise across multiple categories. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will transform customer needs into winning sensory and functional solutions.

You will be based in Avignon and reporting directly to the European Tech Director Health and Functional.

In this exciting role you will:

• Execute daily brief-related tasks including ingredient selection, product evaluation, and application development

• Lead product validation in end applications

• Lead projects including Gold Projects and Campaigns

• Drive prototype development and identify new opportunities across diverse food categories

• Select optimal ingredients for projects according to specified requirements (i.e. customer, regulatory, legislation, cost) and suggest improvements for the most common applications

• Lead tasting sessions and relevant presentations to customers/visitors

• Support commercialization of new S&T ingredients, and lead product development for promotions, and trade shows

• Provide technical support for customer projects and internal product programs

• Partner with Account Managers, Product Managers, and Marketing on concept development and presentations.

• Prepare samples, demonstrations, and customer-facing prototypes that showcase our ingredient performance

• Be a local champion for new technologies

Your professional profile includes:

• Master's degree in Food Science or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in food applications, product development, or a relevant technical field

• Solid expertise in food formulation and application development across multiple categories (beverages, confectionery, bakery, dairy, meat, or supplements)

• As an advantage experience with botanical extracts or beverage development

• Business Fluent in English and French, written and spoken

• Understanding of most applications, ingredients, and processes with practical experience in customers' food manufacturing environment

• Experience with many of the ingredient interactions in products and the ability to recommend modifications based on performance

• Project management skills with the experience of leading large development projects

• Hands-on approach, curiosity, and ability to manage several priorities in parallel

• Previous experience in a B2C environment would be a valuable asset
