Responsable logistique
Cewe Group
Montpellier, Occitanie 34000, France
CDI
Remplacement pendant Arrêt maladie
The Montpellier logistics department currently relies on a single dedicated FTE to ensure the day-to-day coordination and continuity of logistics operations.
This position was initially created under a fixed-term contract in the context of a long-term absence within the team. The current contract is now reaching its legal term and cannot be further extended. After a full performance and fit assessment, we have decided not to convert the current contract holder into a permanent employee, as the level of satisfaction is not sufficient to justify a long-term commitment.
However, the operational need for the position remains fully valid and unchanged. The long-term absence that originally triggered the need for additional support is still ongoing, and the logistics scope continues to require dedicated coverage. Therefore, the request is not to create an additional headcount, but to maintain essential operational continuity through a replacement fixed-term contract.
This setup also ensures that there would be no duplication of resources in the event that the employee currently on long-term sick leave returns to work. In such a case, the replacement fixed-term contract would end automatically, ensuring full alignment with the actual replacement need and avoiding any permanent increase in headcount.
Without this replacement, there would no longer be anyone fully dedicated to ensuring the day-to-day management of the Montpellier lab logistics operations, nor to supporting key ongoing projects such as the rollout of the new Pickeos POS parcel sorting system.
This role is responsible for a wide range of critical operational and administrative logistics activities:
Manage day-to-day logistics operations for France and Spain, including POS, Mail Order and OSF flows, transport coordination, returns management and issue resolution.
Ensure operational coordination with carriers, laboratories and retail partners, while monitoring deliveries, collections, inter-lab shuttles and transport performance.
Handle key logistics administrative processes, including customer database management, ICOS logistics setup, signed delivery notes, invoicing topics and internal operational support.
Support strategic and operational logistics projects, including new transport setups, partner integrations and the rollout of new sorting and delivery systems.
In the current group hiring-freeze context, this request is therefore positioned as a business-critical replacement need, not as an incremental recruitment. The objective is to secure operational continuity, avoid disruption in logistics flows, and ensure that ongoing transformation projects can continue to be properly supported.
