In this regulated position, you take on a pivotal role in overseeing risk and compliance for Macquarie Capital France, acting as the regulated Compliance Officer with scope to expand into Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Chief Risk Officer responsibilities over time. Aligned to the Risk Management Group and working closely with the EMEA Macquarie Capital Business Compliance team, you provide independent oversight while bringing a collaborative and thoughtful approach to challenge and support the business. You work in close partnership with the Board and senior management, helping to guide decisions and ensure alignment with French, European Union, and international regulatory requirements. Connecting across countries and specialist teams, you strengthen the second line of defence, support branch operations, and build trusted relationships with regulators, contributing to a strong and resilient risk culture.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our advertised location.
What you offer

- Fluency in French and English, with confidence working across diverse stakeholders and regulated environments
- Experience in a risk management or second line of defence role within a regulated financial services organisation
- Understanding of compliance, regulatory, financial crime, and prudential risk frameworks, with exposure to engaging regulators in France a plus
- Sound judgement and an analytical approach, enabling you to navigate complexity and provide balanced, practical guidance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build inclusive relationships and influence across a global, matrixed environment

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
