This is a rare opportunity to shape the research vision and agenda of one of the most ambitious AI research programs in industry at the intersection of frontier science, engineering at scale, and global client impact.Key Responsibilities include:Build and lead a multidisciplinary research team of ambassadors and post‑doc fellows fostering a high-performance and publication‑driven cultureDefine and drive the institute’s research vision and agenda, aligning frontier AI science with BCG X’s strategic priorities and client impactLead cutting‑edge research in areas such as foundation models, agentic systems, physical and applied AI, translating breakthroughs into scalable solutionsEstablish the institute as a global thought leader through top‑tier publications, conference presence, and partnerships with academia and industryOversee the end‑to‑end research lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to production in collaboration with engineering and client teamsBridge research and commercial impact, ensuring outputs translate into client value and deployable solutionsAdvise clients on emerging AI trends and translate technical advances into business implicationsCo‑Lead portfolio management, prioritizing high‑impact research bets and measuring ROIEngage with MDPs, and account CCOs to create priority topics and generate demand signal for AISIWhat You’ll Bring15+ years of practical experience in top‑tier companies or consulting firms.
