OverviewThe role of a Vice President within the Global Corporate Bank (GCB) is to acquire, grow and retain profitable relationships focused on VC-backed technology companies headquartered in France. You will meet business development goals, seeking opportunities to sell multiple Banking products to high quality prospects and clients and anticipating their future needs to help them reach their goals and maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship. This position will be based in our Paris office.ResponsibilitiesWorking with colleagues across the firm is a critical component of your responsibilities, as well as possessing the following attributes:Demonstrate the ability to build a brand within your market that represents Technology banking as the “Leading Innovation Economy bank serving the best and most diverse clients”Develop new business in your market by acquiring new relationships, deepening existing relationships by delivering the entire Firm, and leading internal strategic discussions across all our solutions including credit and payments Relentlessly focus on seeking out the best and most diverse founders powering innovation by leveraging a referral network built through business activities and relationship developmentAn exceptional partner, who will partner and collaborate across all parts of JP Morgan including investment banking, large and mid-cap corporate banking, payments, derivatives, private bank, risk, industry groups, among othersBe passionate about innovation, the start-up eco-system and entrepreneurship, leading to a desire to stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnershipsThis position will also support JPMorganChase’s Security and Resiliency Initiative (SRI).
You will engage the French innovation ecosystem—connecting founders, investors, governments, and other stakeholders—where innovation intersects with defence, security, and resilience priorities.Qualifications/Experience6+ years of related experienceUnderstanding and interest in high growth software, applied tech, ecommerce and fintechRelevant understanding of Corporate Banking (cash management, FX) and some understanding of Investment Banking (equity raising and M&A)Experienced in financing products relevant to VC backed tech companiesPreferred experience covering VC-backed companies in defence/security, resilience, critical infrastructure, industrial/advanced manufacturing, energy systems, or adjacent applied technologies.SkillsExcellent sales management and proficiency in building and maintaining positive clientrelationshipsStrong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partnersSelf-directed, proactive, and creative; uses sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things doneAbility to work in a global fast pace environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
