Your role

Your mission is to deliver skilled on-site service that keeps our customers' equipment performing reliably and safely. You use your expertise to repair, maintain, and support the technology they depend on. Through your work, you help customers secure the uptime and performance they need to run their operations with confidence. You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager.

The mission and purpose of the Field Service Engineer is to provide best in class technical support to customers for semiconductor products to ensure system and product safety, uptime, and availability in support for our customers productivity to improve their satisfaction. You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Service Team Leader.

You are thorough and keen to share technical expertise with less experienced colleagues, and you enjoy pushing yourself to grow deep technical capability or operational people skills. You are able to provide the highest levels of field service support, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Edwards products, with key areas of focus being on safety and quality while ensuring strong levels of customer satisfaction. Coaching and continuous support of other team members to help deliver against customer expectations is also a requirement of this role.

Your day-to-day

  • First -time installation and commissioning of Edwards products
  • Perform complex troubleshooting
  • Performing service and maintenance of customer equipment according to Edwards global standards, including preparation, follow-up, and documentation of activities in our internal systems, to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Works alongside teammates
  • Assisting customers in selecting suitable products, including service offerings and solutions.
  • Analysing data readouts from our products
  • Ensuring quality assurance of site assets and processes
  • Supporting the Team Leader and Service Manager and providing holiday and sickness cover for the Team Leader as needed.
  • Leveraging your expertise in technology, processes, and networking to support teammates.
  • Being an Edwards Champion and lead generator
  • Show a visible and active commitment to ensure all monitored field service activities comply with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, meeting organizational health and safety obligations.
  • Develop factual, detailed reports for the team leader
  • Use Edwards processes and platforms to accurately capture service information
  • Responsible for the service and maintenance of customer equipment


Your skills and experience

n Education level: University or formal qualification in a mechanical, electromechanical or electronics discipline.

n Previous field service experience

n Strong customer focus

n Proactively seeks feedback

n Ability to share technical expertise

n Complies with all applicable laws, policies

n Good written and verbal communication skills.A basic command of written and spoken English is required

Your location

  1. You will be part of our customer center in France. You join a field service team that works close to our customers, where most of your time is spent traveling within your assigned area to support them on-site.
