Global Finance Tools Business Owner

The Global Finance Tools Business Owner is responsible for defining, managing, and optimizing finance-related systems and tools to support business operations, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making.
This role plays a critical part in driving finance transformation initiatives, modernizing processes, and ensuring system capabilities fully support evolving business, reporting, and compliance needs.
Acting as a key interface between Finance and IT, the Global Finance Tools Business Owner ensures successful delivery of large-scale system implementations, upgrades, and process optimization programs, the role ensures that finance tools are aligned with business needs, compliant with regulations, and continuously improved.
What you'll be doing:
All AXA Partners entities as at target they should all move to the same finance applications
Define and own the roadmap for finance tools (ERP, EPM, consolidation, reporting, tax systems, etc.).
Ensure alignment between finance systems and overall business and finance strategy.
Establish governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for tools usage.
Drive on Finance side system harmonization, simplification, and digital transformation initiatives.
Act as the primary business point of contact for all finance tools.
Translate finance business requirements into functional specifications.
Prioritize demands, enhancements, and projects based on business value.
Ensure tools support key finance processes (closing, forecasting, reporting, tax, controls).
Support process reengineering and automation across R2R, P2P, O2C...
Support standardization and harmonization of finance processes across entities.
Ensure tools enable efficient closing cycles, forecasting accuracy, P2P and O2C ...
Lead or contribute to system implementations, upgrades, and transformation projects.
Manage stakeholders across Finance, IT, and external partners.
Ensure timely and quality delivery of projects (scope, timeline, budget).
Drive change management, including communication, training, and adoption.
Oversee daily operations and performance of finance tools.
Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and availability.
Manage incidents, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Sustain consistency, quality, and governance of financial data
Support the development of reporting and analytics capabilities.
Promote data-driven decision-making within Finance.
Ensure tools comply with financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
Support internal/external audits related to financial systems.
In collaboration with IT (notably Product Owners) maintain documentation of processes, controls, and system configurations.
Finance leadership (CFO, Controllers, Accounting teams, Tax, Finance Transformation, Finance data)
KBU (Key Business Users on the different tools in scope)
IT teams (applications, architecture, data)
AGBS (notably offshored PeopleSoft Finance team)
Occasionally External system vendors or external maintenance vendors (Capgemini) and integrators
Internal audit, and compliance teams

- Data & Reporting in collaboration with IT and Finance data teams
Sustain consistency, quality, and governance of financial data
Support the development of reporting and analytics capabilities.

- Compliance & Controls
Ensure tools comply with financial regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
Support internal/external audits related to financial systems.

What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7-12+ years of experience in Finance, Finance Transformation, or Finance Systems roles.
- Proven experience in managing or owning finance applications.
- Experience in large-scale ERP/EPM implementations or transformations is a strong plus.
- Proven experience in project delivery (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Knowledge of financial controls and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX) preferred.
- Certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP, or system-specific certifications) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of finance processes (Record-to-Report, FP&A, Tax, Treasury).
- Experience with finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, OneStream, Anaplan, etc.).
- Knowledge of data management, reporting tools, and integrations.
- Familiarity with system architecture and interfaces.
- Ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
- Data-driven mindset with attention to detail.
- Good communication with ability to interact with Senior Management
- Fluent in English and French. Any additionnal language is a plus.
