This involves investigating and developing disruptive technologies, reducing the carbon footprint of steel, and optimizing costs while maintaining uncompromising quality. The team's strong multicultural diversity, with over 30 nationalities, offers international experience and makes it possible to meet global needs.
The team working in the area focuses on executing research and development projects for the company's global mining portfolio. Collaborating with local production units, the team employs laboratory and pilot-scale equipment to optimize mining assets, particularly iron ore concentrate production, using a proactive approach to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency and sustainability.

Your role
You have a strong industrial experience (>10 years) focused on applied problem-solving and process improvement.
As Mineral Processing Research Engineer, you will:
- Be responsible for developing and optimizing mineral processing solutions for site-based and experimental environments.
- Support AM sites during the commissioning and ramp up phases.
- Manage R&D projects according to the quality requirements (IATF standard).
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, while contributing to operational performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
Your profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or in a related field.
- You have experience in applied engineering or industrial environments (> 10years), with exposure to troubleshooting, process improvement, and data-driven problem solving ; and in laboratory and pilot-scale mineral processing work, including experimental design, execution, and process development.
- Project management experience in technical or research activities, ensuring delivery within safety, environmental, and quality standards is needed.
- You have strong knowledge of mineral processing engineering, with solid experience of beneficiation, comminution, classification, and concentration processes.
- You are fluent in English.
- You are able to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
- You have strong problem-solving mindset with ability to support on-site and experimental process optimization activities.
