Global Tech Process Manager - SAP Logistics & Transportation (TM, SD/MM, eWM/WMS, API)

LEAP is one of the major transformation programs currently at Pernod Ricard. It is focused on designing and building our future-proof ERP system, enabling the harmonization of all transactional processes across the Group. As part of this large-scale transformation program, the Global Tech Process Expert - SAP Logistics & Transportation will play a critical role in ensuring that logistics execution, transportation processes and API-based integrations are accurately defined, designed, developed, and implemented within the SAP S/4HANA Private Edition landscape. This role requires strong expertise in SAP Transportation Management (TM), strong integration knowledge with SAP SD, MM and eWM, and solid experience in API-based integrations, from both business and technology perspectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Design
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SAP TM and logistics execution processes, including transportation planning and execution, freight order management, carrier selection and tendering, and freight cost calculation and settlement.
  • Ensure seamless integration with SAP SD, MM and eWM, specially for the outbound flows (SD → TM → eWM/WMS → execution).
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, logistics, procurement and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into robust and scalable SAP solutions.
  • Design end-to-end logistics and transport processes, ensuring data consistency across systems.
  • Define and document API-based integration patterns (synchronous/asynchronous) connecting SAP with external platforms (freight platforms, carriers, 3PL) and middleware.
  • Produce detailed functional specifications including process flows, data models, mappings, interfaces and API contracts (payloads, endpoints, error handling).
  • Ensure alignment with SAP clean core principles and API-first strategy.
  • Drive standardization while maintaining flexibility for local logistics requirements.


Build & Test
  • Configure and customize SAP TM functionalities including freight units, freight orders, bookings, planning and charge management.
  • Ensure proper configuration of integration points with SD, MM, FI/CO and eWM and WMS.
  • Design and validate SAP standard APIs (OData, SOAP) and custom APIs via SAP Integration Suite or middleware.
  • Work with development teams to implement RICEFW enhancements and API integrations.
  • Define and execute test strategies covering functional, integration and API testing.
  • Ensure data integrity, performance and resilience of logistics flows and integrations.
  • Support cut-over planning and execution.


Training & Roll-Out
  • Prepare training materials and deliver sessions for logistics users.
  • Support roll-out across regions and onboarding of logistics partners.
  • Post Go-Live / Hypercare
  • Support post go-live activities from functional and technical perspectives.
  • Monitor API integrations, interfaces and logistics execution flows.
  • Troubleshoot transport, warehouse synchronization and integration issues.
  • Support business stabilization and adoption.


Project Management
  • Report progress within program governance.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • Ensure delivery aligned with timeline, quality and budget.
  • Promote CORE model and SAP best practices.


Key Interactions
  • Strong collaboration with logistics, warehouse, procurement, SAP teams, integration architects and external partners (carriers, 3PL, platforms).
  • Facilitate workshops and drive alignment on end-to-end logistics architecture.
  • Ensure strong documentation and communication.


YOUR PROFILE
  • You have strong expertise in SAP TM on S/4HANA Private Edition.
  • You bring deep knowledge of integrations between SAP TM, SAP SD, MM, and eWM.
  • You have experience with API-based integrations, including OData, REST, SOAP, and SAP Integration Suite.
  • You understand end-to-end logistics architectures and processes across SD → TM → eWM/WMS.
  • You are familiar with authentication mechanisms, interface monitoring, and error handling.
  • You can design scalable, robust integration architectures that support complex business processes.
  • You combine strong analytical thinking with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.


Nice to have
  • You have knowledge of embedded and standalone SAP TM environments.
  • You have contributed to global transformation or SAP rollout programs.
  • You have experience working in regulated logistics environments.
  • You have exposure to excise products logistics and related regulatory requirements.
