This position is office-based in Lyon, with occasional international travel.
What You'll Do:
- Own all HR/People Experience operations for France, with additional oversight of EMEA and APAC.
- Serve as CSE President, leading monthly meetings, managing all consultation obligations, and maintaining a constructive, legally compliant relationship with employee representatives.
- Be the trusted, hands-on partner for France-based managers across the full spectrum of people matters: coaching, employee relations, conflict resolution, performance, and more.
- Run the full employee lifecycle for our French team members, from the moment someone accepts an offer through their first day, every milestone in between, and a respectful offboarding.
- Audit monthly payroll for France
- Participate in France-based recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, offer-building, and onboarding top talent.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of French employment law and partner with local experts to keep the company compliant.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of People Experience on compensation benchmarking, benefits administration, and equity-focused programs.
- Champion diversity, wellness, and culture-building across the organization - including supporting events, recognition programs, and making sure we actually HAVE FUN.
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting across the region in line with GDPR and local legislation.
- Support and lead change management initiatives as the company continues to scale globally.
- Actively model and reinforce Tech Soft 3D's core values in every interaction.
What We're Looking For:
- Bac+5 or master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent field - or demonstrably equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on HR Generalist experience with progressively increasing scope, including: employee relations, recruitment, legal/compliance, HRIS administration, benefits, payroll, and onboarding/offboarding.
- 1-2 years of supervisory or people-management experience.
- Demonstrated experience as CSE President or Employer Representative, with the ability and willingness to serve as CSE President for a 50+ employee entity.
- Deep, current knowledge of French employment law; working knowledge of EMEA and/or APAC labour frameworks is a strong plus.
- A reputation as someone managers actually want to call - trusted, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented.
- Strong conflict-resolution skills and emotional intelligence; you stay calm when things get complicated.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive situations and documentation in line with GDPR.
- Comfortable presenting HR topics to all-hands audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English (advanced English required).
- Demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work autonomously in a global, distributed team.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in a tech, SaaS, or software company.
- Familiarity with employment law outside of France.
- M&A or post-acquisition integration experience.
- Learning & Development expertise.
- HR certifications (CIPD, PHR, or equivalent).
- Project management skills.
- Additional languages beyond French and English.
Reasons to Not Apply:
We believe in matching great talent with the right roles. This probably isn't the right fit if:
- You prefer a slow-paced environment that resists change.
- You expect rigid job boundaries and minimal cross-team collaboration.
- You're uncomfortable working across global time zones or adapting to evolving priorities.
- You prefer highly structured oversight over autonomous, results-driven work.
- You don't like to have fun!
