adm-Indicia
Paris, Île-de-France 92110, France CDI

HR Advisor

Department: HR

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Paris

Reporting To: Aurelia Goncalves

Description

As HR Advisor, you will provide HR support across the EMEA region with a primary focus on France. You will take end-to-end ownership of the French payroll cycle while also acting as a direct HR resource for EMEA countries.

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable managing a precise monthly payroll cycle and navigating employment law queries across multiple jurisdictions. You will work with a degree of autonomy, manage competing priorities, and act as a reliable operational partner to the wider HR team.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll - France
  • Manage monthly payroll variables with our external payroll provider: starters, leavers, absences, salary changes, and variable pay
  • Act as primary point of contact with the payroll provider throughout the monthly cycle through to payment validation
  • Review and validate payroll outputs; escalate complex cases to the HR Director or external counsel as appropriate
  • Ensure compliance with French social legislation and applicable collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
  • Act as escalation point for employee payroll queries in France, resolving issues efficiently and professionally

HR Operations - France
  • Respond to day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers on contractual matters, absence, and HR policy

EMEA HR Operations
  • Handle employee lifecycle requests directly for EMEA countries as required: contract amendments, onboarding and offboarding administration, probation tracking, and employment documentation, with a special focus on France where there is a requirement for local expertise/language.
  • Respond to basicemployment queries from EMEA employees and managers, escalating complex cases to the relevant HR lead or external counsel.
  • Prepare HR administrative documents in French or English: employment certifictes, amendment letters, reference letters
  • Contribute to cross-country HR projects and programme workstreams as directed by the HR Director EMEA
  • Maintain EMEA HR trackers and reporting as required
  • Support Works Council (CSE) administration including attendance at meetings for minute-taking purposes and support in the election process

Employment law research & compliance
  • Research and respond to first-line employment law queries across EMEA on an ad hoc basis: statutory leave entitlements, part-time request rules, notice periods, contractual rights
  • Navigate and apply collective bargaining agreements (CBAs): track coefficient changes, flag mandatory pay increases, and ensure company practices remain compliant
  • Draft and maintain local HR policies and work regulations; create new policy documents from scratch where required
  • Escalate complex legal cases to the HR Director or external counsel; prepare background research and documentation to support escalations, in both, French and English, if required.

HRIS & HR data
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in HiBob: new starters, leavers, contract changes, org structure updates, and data quality checks
  • Contribute to HR reporting across key metrics: headcount, starters, leavers, turnover, absence
  • Support data quality initiatives to ensure reporting is reliable and consistent
  • Support in HR audits as per required.

Office & facilities support (Paris)
  • Coordinate local office events and employee activities in the Paris office
  • Manage facility maintenance services and liaise with relevant suppliers to ensure the office is well maintained
  • Manage meal voucher (tickets restaurant) orders and distribution for France-based employees
  • Manage employee access badges: issuance, updates and deactivation upon offboarding

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role at Advisor level ideally within a multi-country or matrix organization
  • Solid experience managing payroll variables with an external provider in France - including validation and sign-off responsibility
  • Good working knowledge of French employment law and payroll mechanics (charges sociales, DSN, congés payés, etc.)
  • Ability to research and apply employment law across multiple countries at an operational level: statutory rules, CBA provisions, mandatory obligations.
  • Confident drafting HR policies and work regulations in French and English
  • Experience in HR administration across the full employee lifecycle
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight monthly deadlines
  • Fluent in French; working proficiency in English (EMEA team operates in English)
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a complex, multi-entity, international environment
