Job Description

The Global Project Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful execution and delivery of High Performance Coupling (HPC) projects supporting turbomachinery and rotating equipment applications across global markets (excluding nuclear business).

esponsibilities:
  • Project Initiation:
    • Partner with the Sales & Bidding team for a comprehensive review of incoming orders and ensure timely order handover.
    • Review with relevant internal functions on customer specifications, contractual requirements, technical scope, delivery commitments, and commercial obligations.
    • Collaborate with Sales & Bidding teams to clarify techno-commercial requirements and execution risks.
    • Align with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Finance and Operations teams on project execution strategy.
    • Ensure accurate maintenance of all project documentation and records.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication:
    • Coordinate Pre-KOM and KOM activities with all key stakeholders.
    • Establish project objectives, execution plans, milestones, responsibilities, and communication protocols.
    • Maintain regular engagement with customers, OEMs, EPC contractors, End Users and regional stakeholders.
    • Provide project visibility through regular reporting, reviews, and management updates.
    • Escalate critical project issues to internal leadership and customer management when required
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans and schedules.
    • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans proactively.
    • Coordinate engineering reviews, technical clarifications, and customer approvals.
    • Manage project changes through formal change management processes.
    • Monitor project performance against delivery, cost, quality, and revenue commitments.
    • Ensure timely project reporting, invoicing milestones, and forecast updates.
  • Engineering & Manufacturing Coordination
    • Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure timely completion of technical deliverables.
    • Coordinate manufacturing activities to support project delivery commitments.
    • Monitor inspection, balancing, testing, assembly, and shipment readiness activities.
    • Support resolution of technical challenges affecting project execution.
    • Coordinate manufacturing priorities and recovery plans when required.


  • Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination
    • Collaborate with Procurement and Engineering teams on supplier alignment and technical requirements.
    • Monitor long-lead material deliveries and supplier performance.
    • Support supplier issue resolution and expedite activities where required.
    • Ensure alignment between procurement plans and project schedules.
  • Risk & Budget Management
    • Monitor and control project costs, schedules, and delivery commitments.
    • Continuously evaluate project risks and implement corrective actions.
    • Support achievement of project revenue, margin, and cash flow objectives.
    • Coordinate resolution of commercial issues and customer change requests.
  • Quality & Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and John Crane procedures.
    • Coordinate inspection, testing, certification, and documentation requirements.
    • Maintain project correspondence, records, and close-out documentation.
    • Provide regular project status reports and management updates.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive initiatives to improve project execution, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
    • Support development of PMO standards, governance processes, and best practices.
    • Capture and share lessons learned across the business.


Qualifications

Maitrise de l'anglais (oral et écrit) -

Expérience avérée en management de projets complexes, à enjeux internationaux, notamment sur des produits engineered-to-order (conçus sur mesure) et des projets clients.

Expérience dans les secteurs Oil & Gas, production d'énergie, énergie ou équipements industriels rotatifs.

Bonne compréhension des systèmes de turbomachines, des équipements de transmission de puissance mécanique et des normes industrielles associées.

Connaissance des normes API, ISO et autres standards sectoriels applicables.

Capacité à interpréter des spécifications de projets complexes, des plans techniques et des exigences contractuelles.

Maîtrise complète des aspects financiers des projets

(experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Energy, or Industrial Rotating Equipment industries. • Minimum 5 years of project management experience managing engineered-to-order products and customer projects. • Strong technical knowledge of High-Performance Couplings and rotating equipment applications. • Understanding of turbomachinery systems, mechanical power transmission equipment, and associated industry standards. • Knowledge of API, ISO, and relevant industry standards. • Ability to interpret complex project specifications, technical drawings, and contractual requirements. • Comprehensive understanding of project financial management)

Additional Information

The role is accountable for managing all aspects of project execution from order handover through delivery and project close-out, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, and quality requirements.

The Project Delivery Manager serves as John Crane's primary customer interface during project execution and coordinates global cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Finance and Operations to ensure successful project outcomes.

The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for achieving delivery, cost, quality, customer satisfaction, and revenue objectives within the agreed project scope while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement and execution discipline.

Willingness to travel internationally up to 25-30%.
