The Team

A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice specializes in delivering results across the investment lifecycle for private equity investors and their portfolio companies. The team focuses on operational and commercial due diligence, performance improvement, post-merger integration, and transformation.

To stay ahead of market shifts and pioneer the next frontier of value creation, the PEPI Paris team is accelerating on dedicated AI and Advanced Technology capability. This role offers the opportunity to work as an intrapreneur within a dynamic, collaborative team, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver game-changing, highly impactful operational solutions for our clients.

The Role

As a Director in the AI and Technology space, you will bridge the gap between hardcore business performance and cutting-edge artificial intelligence. You will not only advise but actively build, deploy, and implement AI and advanced tech solutions that directly transform our clients' operations. From driving top-line growth to radical cost reduction, you will empower our clients-and our internal PEPI team-to achieve unprecedented levels of autonomy, maturity, and competitive advantage through technology.

How you will contribute

Client-Facing Transformation & Deployment

• Contribute directly to the design of the client's Value Creation Plan (VCP) by identifying practical AI opportunities that deliver measurable EBITDA improvements (through Top Line growth, direct cost reduction, and SG&A optimization), while accurately forecasting the required CAPEX and one-off implementation costs.
• Turn the Value Creation Plan into reality during the execution phase by building tailored AI solutions that solve specific operational bottlenecks, rapidly converting technology initiatives into tangible run-rate EBITDA uplift and accelerated cash flow generation.
• Take a hands-on role to execute these solutions by deploying custom software, systems, and even physical GPU hardware directly into the client's legacy IT environment, strictly managing project CAPEX budgets and operational one-offs to maximize ROI.
• Deliver practical step-by-step training to the client's staff throughout the project, raising their overall technological maturity and ensuring they are fully comfortable using the newly deployed tools to drive daily performance.
• Leave the client with the platforms, frameworks, and knowledge they need to be fully autonomous, empowering them to build, improve, and scale their own AI agents

Internal PEPI Paris Leadership & Growth

• Identify new market opportunities and pitch AI-driven transformation projects to Private Equity funds and C-level executives to build a robust commercial pipeline.
• Bring fresh ideas to the team and develop new, productized service offerings that combine A&M's operational excellence with cutting-edge artificial intelligence.
• Build, deploy, and maintain internal AI systems that improve the PEPI Paris team's own daily performance, due diligence speed, and delivery quality.
• Train, upskill, and mentor A&M staff so they can independently leverage these new AI tools in their everyday work and performance improvement methodologies.
• Act as a direct contributor to building and scaling this new integrated AI team by actively participating in recruitment actions to attract top technical talent, driving internal and external communication initiatives, and shaping a highly entrepreneurial, tech-forward culture.

Qualifications

• Hold an advanced degree (PhD strongly preferred, or highly specialized Master's) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a related deep-tech field, combined with ~5+ years of experience in an elite tech-consulting environment, a deep-tech startup, or a hands-on corporate transformation role.
• Demonstrate true \builder\ capabilities. You are not just a conceptual advisor; you have the technical depth to write code, design architectures, and actively deploy and improve advanced AI solutions (Machine Learning, custom LLMs, Agentic workflows) and IT infrastructure (Cloud computing and physical GPU architectures).
• Possess a strong understanding of private equity and corporate financials to translate your highly technical AI projects into precise business cases, accurately modeling run-rate EBITDA impact, cash conversion, CAPEX, and one-off implementation costs.
• Bring an entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with a proven track record of leading tech-driven operational transformations or scaling tech products from scratch.
• Act as a technological bridge, equally comfortable pitching a high-level digital strategy to a Private Equity Partner and discussing code optimization or server deployments with a technical IT engineering team.
• Communicate highly complex, PhD-level technology concepts simply, clearly, and compellingly to diverse, non-technical executive audiences in both fluent English and French.
• Lead by example with strong core values, integrity, and an objective, fact-based approach to solving problems in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment.
