You will report directly to the Regulatory Affairs Manager within the Scientific Affairs team, and will work closely with the R&D, Scientific Affairs, and Sustainability teams.
Key responsibilities
- Regulatory monitoring: help track regulatory developments (EU, US and state-level, Canada and province-level) to ensure our ingredients, packaging, and finished products comply with current regulations, including regulations and recommendations related to sustainability topics (EPR, eco-design, etc.), and flag to the team any changes likely to impact our formulas.
- Raw material qualification: help collect and analyze ingredient data to ensure their quality, safety, and compliance with regulations as well as with Prose's qualification charter, in coordination with the R&D and Purchasing teams.
- Claims substantiation files: contribute to updating the substantiation files for our product efficacy claims.
- Maintaining Product Information Files (PIFs): assist in updating PIFs in accordance with European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, by collecting and organizing the required documents (safety reports, CPSRs, labeling, etc.).
- Product database updates: keep our database up to date with the latest regulatory data (compositions, ingredient statuses, labeling), as well as actively monitor the certification status of our raw materials (Cosmos and other relevant standards), regularly checking compliance with suppliers and updating the database accordingly. This database serves as a cross-functional foundation that feeds into numerous strategic projects, such as B Corp certification or EPR declarations.
- Development and tracking of regulatory and scientific KPIs: contribute to defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to our regulatory activities and certifications (B Corp, Cosmos, EPR, etc.) to give the team a clear view of our compliance level, as well as to identify opportunities for improvement and engagement.
Candidate profile
- Currently pursuing a Bac +5 level degree (Master's/Engineering) in a relevant field: Cosmetic Sciences, Health Product Regulation, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or equivalent.
- Rigor, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Comfortable with AI tools (such as Claude, Elicit, Gemini)
- Curiosity about the regulatory environment and knowledge of the cosmetics regulatory landscape.
- Autonomy, proactivity, and the ability to manage multiple topics in parallel.
- Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and intercultural sensitivity.
