As Country Regulatory Manager, you play a key role in delivering regulatory strategy at national level and ensuring sustainable access to crop protection solutions. You lead regulatory activities across the product lifecycle and act as a strategic partner to the business while maintaining strong relationships with French authorities.
Location: This role is based in our Guyancourt office (Paris area) and offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Strategy & Execution
- Define and implement country regulatory strategies aligned with regional/global objectives
- Ensure successful authorisations, renewals, and maintenance of product registrations in France
- Provide country-specific regulatory input to development and lifecycle projects
Dossier & Approval Management
- Oversee preparation, submission, and follow-up of high-quality regulatory dossiers
- Ensure compliance with French, zonal, and EU regulatory requirements
- Monitor timelines and secure approvals in line with project milestones
Stakeholder & Authority Engagement
- Act as primary contact with French regulatory authorities (ANSES, DGAL)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with authorities and external stakeholders
- Represent the company in industry associations and regulatory forums
Business Partnering & Collaboration
- Partner with Commercial, Marketing, R&D and Supply teams
- Translate regulatory constraints into actionable business decisions
- Maintain accurate regulatory databases and ensure proper documentation management
Regulatory Intelligence & Risk Management
- Monitor and communicate regulatory developments
- Identify risks and opportunities impacting portfolio sustainability
- Contribute to regulatory risk mitigation strategies
Profile & Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Master's degree or PhD in Agronomy, Biology, Chemistry or related field
- Strong experience in plant protection regulatory affairs in France
- In-depth knowledge of French and EU regulatory frameworks
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinking and business understanding
- Strong ability to engage effectively with regulatory authorities and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High level of scientific and analytical rigour in regulatory assessments and decision-making
- Project management and prioritisation skills
- Fluent in French and English
