Overall Purpose:
The Marketing Specialist is the dedicated marketing resource for Hill Robinson's Crew Services division, supporting Recruitment, Crew Human Resources and Academy activities.
Working as part of the Marketing Department and reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of marketing initiatives that support business objectives, enhance brand visibility, strengthen audience engagement and generate commercial opportunities.
The role will act as the dedicated marketing representative for the Crew Services division, collaborating with the wider Marketing team to support the delivery of campaigns, communications and content that promote and enhance Recruitment, Crew Human Resources and Academy objectives. The successful candidate will coordinate content creation, social media activity, events and marketing projects, ensuring business priorities are effectively represented and supported across all relevant marketing channels.
This position requires a proactive and commercially minded marketer who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, build strong relationships with stakeholders and deliver high-quality marketing activity across a variety of channels.

Responsibilities:
Marketing Coordination:
- Act as the dedicated marketing representative for the Crew Services division, supporting Recruitment, Crew Human Resources and Academy activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Crew Services stakeholders and the Marketing team.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and projects to ensure business objectives are effectively represented and supported across all marketing activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase brand visibility, audience engagement and support commercial objectives across Crew Services.
- Ensure marketing activity aligns with wider company objectives, brand guidelines and campaign priorities.
Content and Communications:
- Develop, create and coordinate engaging content that supports Crew Services initiatives, including recruitment opportunities, training programmes, events, industry insights and service offerings.
- Create written, visual and video content for use across digital and marketing channels.
- Maintain content calendars and coordinate content planning with internal stakeholders.
- Develop marketing collateral, presentations, promotional materials and supporting assets as required.
- Identify and promote success stories, industry expertise, crew achievements and business updates through compelling storytelling.
- Ensure all communications are accurate, engaging, on-brand and aligned with target audience needs.
- Liaise with HQ to provide relevant content for the newsletter.
Social Media and Community Engagement:
- Manage day-to-day social media activity across Crew Services channels.
- Plan, schedule and publish content across relevant social media platforms.
- Monitor audience engagement and respond to enquiries where appropriate.
- Build and nurture relationships with crew, candidates, trainees and industry stakeholders through digital communities.
- Identify opportunities to increase audience growth, engagement and brand awareness.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging content opportunities.
Events and Brand Visibility:
- Support the planning, promotion and delivery of events, training sessions, yacht shows, recruitment initiatives and industry exhibitions.
- Coordinate event-related communications and marketing activity before, during and after events.
- Capture and develop content from events for use across marketing channels.
- Identify partnership, sponsorship and cross-promotional opportunities that support Crew Services objectives.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen the visibility and reputation of Crew Services within the yachting industry.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activity across relevant channels.
- Analyse audience engagement, content performance and campaign effectiveness.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve marketing outcomes and audience growth.
- Track key performance indicators and contribute to regular marketing reporting.
- Maintain awareness of industry developments, audience behaviour and emerging marketing trends to inform future activity.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of marketing plans and initiatives aligned with Crew Services objectives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of target audiences, customer journeys and market trends to inform content, communications and marketing activity.
- Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines, messaging and tone of voice across all Crew Services marketing channels and materials.
Person, Skills and Knowledge specification
- Full command of the English language, both written and verbal; working knowledge of French and additional languages advantageous.
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, social media, content creation or a similar marketing role essential.
- Previous experience within the yachting, maritime, hospitality or luxury service sectors advantageous.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience creating written, visual and video content across multiple channels.
- Familiarity with marketing and content creation tools (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Canva, etc.).
- HubSpot, CRM and marketing automation experience advantageous.
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Confident, proactive and commercially minded with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent team player, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
