This is an exciting opportunity to join Xerox as the senior People Operations leader for France, supporting a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees. The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced People Operations Director to lead our People Operations function in France. Reporting to the People Operations & Labour Relations Leader, EMEA & APAC, you will lead a team of six People Operations professionals and provide strategic and operational leadership across the full employee lifecycle.
This role is ideal for a senior HR professional with extensive expertise in French employment law, labour relations, Works Council management, and employee relations, combined with outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.

What you will do
As People Operations Director, you will:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of six People Operations professionals.
- Oversee the delivery of efficient, compliant and high-quality People Operations services across the employee lifecycle.
- Act as the subject matter expert for French employment law, labour relations and collective agreements.
- Lead relationships with Works Councils (CSE), including all consultation and information processes, governance and employee representative engagement.
- Partner with business leaders to support organisational changes, restructurings and transformation initiatives while ensuring legal compliance.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, investigations, grievances and performance issues.
- Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, governance, employment risk and People Operations strategy.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and HR Centres of Excellence to deliver integrated people solutions.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement, standardisation and automation.
- Monitor service delivery, compliance and employee experience, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead local and global HR projects, acquisitions and organisational initiatives impacting the France employee population.
Required experience
- Extensive experience leading People Operations or HR Operations within France.
- Strong expertise in:
- French employment law
- Labour relations
- Works Council (CSE) management
- Employee relations
- Change management
- Experience leading and developing HR teams.
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders in a multinational environment.

- Experience working within a matrix organisation is highly desirable.
- Fluent French.
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential, as this role regularly participates in regional and global business meetings.
- Hybrid working.
- Based in France.
