What You'll Do At Elekta

As HR Advisor - Region Europe, you will provide practical, hands-on HR support to employees and managers, helping ensure the consistent application of HR policies, employment terms and local labour law requirements. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a primary focus on supporting our employee population in France. As part of our collaborative regional HR team, you will also contribute to HR activities across Region Europe, working flexibly across country boundaries to support business needs and deliver a consistent employee experience. You will act as a trusted HR contact for day-to-day people matters, supporting managers with employee relations cases, organisational change, employment documentation and HR operations. This role requires sound judgement, attention to detail and a professional approach to handling confidential and sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR guidance to managers and employees on employment law, company policies and people-related matters.


  • Manage a broad range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability and absence matters, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.


  • Prepare and maintain employment documentation, including contracts, amendments, employee correspondence and case-related records.


  • Partner with line managers to support effective people management, coaching them through employee challenges and key employment decisions.


  • Support onboarding, offboarding and other core employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accurate employee data within HR systems.


  • Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, internal policies and audit requirements, monitoring changes in employment law as required.


  • Support organisational change initiatives, including consultations, restructuring activities and employee communications.


  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and regional HR colleagues on people initiatives and continuous improvement projects.


  • Champion a positive employee experience by promoting respectful workplace practices and trusted HR support.


What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in an HR generalist or HR Advisor role.


  • Strong working knowledge of applicable labour laws, with experience applying employment requirements in practice.


  • Hands-on experience supporting employee relations cases.


  • Experience preparing employment contracts and HR documentation.


  • Excellent communication skills in English and French.


  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.


  • Experience working with HR systems and employee data.


  • Degree in Human Resources, Law, Psychology or a related field is desirable.


  • Experience in an international or matrix organisation is desirable.


  • Experience supporting organisational change or restructuring is desirable.


  • Practical, solutions-oriented approach with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.


  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with regional HR teams.


  • Calm, objective and fair judgement when handling complex or sensitive employee situations.
