Reporting directly to the Business Manager, the Senior Manager, NPD (New Product Development) Programs - SIMS is responsible for the overall leadership, governance, and execution of all New Product Development (NPD) programs for CAMECA SIMS. The role ensures that all NPD programs are delivered on time, within budget, and with the committed functionalities, while providing clear, regular, and reliable program status reporting to Site, BU, and Division management.

Responsibilities:
Program Portfolio Leadership
- Own and govern the full SIMS NPD program portfolio.
- Define and enforce standard program management practices, milestones, and KPIs.
- Ensure alignment of all NPD programs with BU and Division strategy.
Program Execution & Delivery
- Ensure all programs meet schedule, cost, scope, quality, and functionality commitments.
- Anticipate risks and implement mitigation plans at portfolio level.
- Drive recovery plans for programs at risk or off-track.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Directly manage and coach all Program Managers.
- Ensure consistent program management maturity and discipline across teams.
- Support Program Managers in complex cross-functional and escalated situations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, and Marketing.
- Ensure effective resource allocation and prioritization across concurrent programs.
- Act as the primary escalation interface for NPD programs.
Governance & Reporting
- Establish and maintain regular program reviews and steering committees.
- Provide clear, concise, and fact-based reporting to:
- Business Manager
- BU management
- Division management
- Ensure transparency on progress, risks, financials, and key decisions.
Requirements:
Education & experience:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10-15 years experience in complex industrial product development.
- Proven experience in program or portfolio management in a high technology environment.
- Strong background in matrix organizations and cross site programs.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
