VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.The Intelligence & Data Solutions (IDS) team at VCA consists of data scientists, analysts, and engineers who provide analytics solutions. Their goal is to leverage VisaNet, one of the largest datasets globally, to help clients enhance their performance and increase profitability.We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Data Scientist to partner with Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) and co‑develop data‑driven solutions to help Visa’s clients grow their businesses.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze data using statistical software (e.g., Python, R)Extract and aggregate data from large sets using SQL, Hive, Spark and other toolsDeploy and support predictive modeling packages and monitor and calibrate production modelsSolve problems with innovative data science techniquesCollaborate with data science colleagues and other Visa teams to provide insights to clientsAutomate and create repeatable analyses or self‑service toolsEnsure timely project delivery to meet business needsPromote data innovations and analytics education within VisaOptimize code for critical business processesDesign and develop dashboards using software like Tableau or Power BICommunicate complex concepts clearly and effectivelyQualificationsExperience in consolidating and analyzing large, unstructured datasetsExperience in coding algorithms and automated data processesAbility to work collaboratively in cross‑functional environmentsStrong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skillsClear communication skills, with the ability to explain insights to non‑technical audiencesFluency in French and EnglishNice to HaveExperience in payment card or information security industry, or all‑source cyber intelligence organizationsExperience with Python for data analysis and machine learning tasksExperience with Spark for big data processing and analyticsStrong skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data manipulation and analysisVisa is an EEO EmployerQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
