Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic Records Manager / Archivist to join our client on-site team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and preserving valuable physical and digital archives while delivering high-quality inventory tables, classification plans, and project tracking deliverables.
You will join a dedicated, collaborative client-facing team bringing energy and expertise to elevate document and archive management.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Manage full-lifecycle archival processes, from collecting, sorting, cataloging, and conditioning paper and digital records to creating comprehensive inventory tables, classification plans, dynamic management tables, and research instruments.
- Collaborate with client teams and stakeholders by conducting project follow-up meetings, providing weekly tracking indicators, and ensuring smooth documentation transfers.
- Ensure compliance with archive regulations, retention periods, and privacy standards, accurately managing document dispositions, elimination notes, property sheets, and transfer records using dedicated archival management software.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant experience in archival management, record organization, and document preservation.
- Strong knowledge of archival description principles-including International Standard Archival Description - General (ISAD-G) and International Standard Archival Authority Record (ISAAR)-standardized vocabularies, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and archive regulations.
- Proven ability in project management, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder communication, and utilizing specialized archiving and bibliographic tools (such as Ligéo, Citavi, Socrate, and Microsoft Excel).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in archival studies or a related field.
