Active in most of the Group's businesses for over 50 years, the Corning European Technology Center, based in Fontainebleau-Avon, France, provides expertise in research, development, and engineering.
Within the Process Research, Development & Engineering organization at our Fontainebleau site, we are looking for a Measurement & Controls Engineer (M/F) for a permanent position.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of national projects, your role will be to define, develop, and validate measurement and control solutions for existing or newly designed equipment and metrology test benches.
These projects are based both at the Corning European Technology Center (CETC) in Avon and at our AO Specialty Glass manufacturing plant in Bagneaux-sur-Loing. In the future, they may also be extended to other European sites.
Working closely with Researchers and Process Engineers, you will contribute to the characterization and development of our manufacturing processes. Therefore, a strong interest in technology and physics is essential.
PROFILE
We are looking for candidates with a general engineering degree specializing in automation and electrical engineering, combined with several years of industrial experience, ideally in instrumentation or special-purpose machine control systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Instrumentation of test benches and special-purpose machines for the acquisition of a wide range of physical measurements.
• Industrial automation and control systems, motion control, robotics, advanced process control, and servo systems.
• Engineering project management skills.
• Fluent English.
• Strong technical capabilities.
• Adaptable and willing to work across both sites.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Creativity.
