Job purpose :
In the French domestic market, within the specialty chemicals sector, the Subject Matter Expert Specialty Chemicals role is designed to support customers throughout their entire lifecycle, from pre-sales to after-sales, acting as a trusted expert and a key contributor to business development. The role contributes to the co-design of robust, high-value industrial solutions for complex industrial processes, leveraging Yokogawa's expertise in automation, digitalization, instrumentation, and safety.

Core responsibilities :
For the French domestic market, in close cooperation with Business Developers and Account managers, ensure technical framing in pre-sales, sales and post sales phases:
- Act as the business and domain reference for the French specialty chemicals market, supporting Yokogawa's growth objectives.
- Drive business development in France by identifying and developing customer-centric opportunities with sales teams.
- Lead strategic account plans using Yokogawa's automation, process optimization, and digitalization solutions.
- Position high value-added solutions addressing customers' operational and technological challenges.
- Structure the commercial pipeline, coordinate internal teams, and strengthen senior-level customer relationships.
Expected Profile
Must-Have:
- Engineer in instrumentation and process control, industrial automation, or process engineering.
- Strong knowledge of specialty chemicals market players in France, including system integrators, EPCs, and automation suppliers.
- Strong customer engagement and strategic account management experience.
- Expertise in DCS, Batch, safety systems, and instrumentation.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory, sustainability, and digitalization challenges as well as process optimization (APC), industrial monitoring and data exploitation (PIMS, analytics), and secure OT/IT architectures.
- Leadership in cross-functional solution design.
- Should be able to formulate KPI for each level of stake holders.
- Flexible for short-notice travels.
- Fluent in French and English,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with Yokogawa systems and solutions.
- Experience with chemical process operations.
- Knowledge in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), IIoT Data Integration, energy performance, cybersecurity.
- Skilled in leading workshops, bridging business and technical teams, and building industry networks.
