d2m Services is recruiting, on behalf of a leading shipyard specialized in the repair, maintenance and conversion of large commercial and naval vessels, a Painting Supervisor to strengthen its Project Delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
Planning & Work Preparation
- Prepare and develop detailed painting work schedules in line with the overall project plan.
- Define the painting work scope, including surface preparation, coating application and work sequencing.
- Estimate manpower, equipment and material requirements for painting activities.
- Ensure painting operations are properly planned to meet project milestones and dry-docking schedules.
- Support the Project Team throughout the execution phase.
- Supervise and coordinate painting subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and project deadlines.
- Coordinate painting activities with the Project Team, production departments and the Vessel Manager.
- Optimize work sequences, schedules and resource utilization for painting operations.
- Participate in daily production meetings and technical coordination meetings with internal teams and the Owner's representatives.
- Ensure the final quality and acceptance of all painting and coating works.
- Manage the Owner's paint inventory throughout the project.
- Support the Logistics Department with paint deliveries, storage and inventory control.
- Monitor paint consumption and ensure materials remain available throughout the execution phase.
- Ensure full compliance with the company's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (QHSE) procedures.
- Promote safe working practices during all painting operations.
- Act as the shipyard's focal point for all painting-related activities during the project.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Receive and verify paint deliveries
- Assist the Logistics Department with inventory management and paint stock control.
- Monitor paint inventory throughout the project.
- Supervise the daily activities of painting subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed schedules for surface preparation and coating application.
- Coordinate daily with the Project Team and Vessel Manager.
- Monitor work quality and validate completed painting activities.
- Participate in technical and progress meetings with the Project Team and the Owner's representatives.
- Optimize schedules, productivity and costs related to painting activities.
- Ensure strict compliance with the shipyard's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
Requirements
Education & Technical Knowledge
- Engineering degree or technical qualification in Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or an equivalent discipline.
- Good knowledge of marine or industrial painting and protective coating systems.
- Sound understanding of surface preparation methods and coating application techniques.
- Ability to read technical specifications, drawings and work procedures.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within a shipyard, ship repair environment or heavy industry.
- Experience supervising painting subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
- Strong planning, organization and operational coordination skills.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety and project deadlines.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams, production departments, subcontractors and Owners' representatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of project planning tools is an advantage.
- Good command of English is desirable.
