Job overview

As part of our road to becoming a net zero company, we are looking for a Life Cycle Assessment R&D Engineer (permanent position) to join the LCA/EPD team based in the Holcim Innovation Center in Saint Quentin Fallavier, Isere, France. You will join a world class team that works at the forefront of Holcim's data automation activities and provides end-to-end EPD services to all Holcim countries and corporate teams using state of the art software.This is an ideal position for a person that has a strong sense of curiosity and ambition to make a difference.

Main activities / responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and help implement country and corporate sustainability initiatives
  • Support implementation of rollout of environmental product declarations (EPD) across all product segments and countries using on demand EPD generators
  • Support transition from EPDs to digital product passports (DPP)
  • Support digitisation initiatives related to EPD and DPP implementation
  • Support implementation of regulatory and news watch
  • Provide internal training on life cycle assessment and EPDs

Experience
  • 2+ years of practical experience on LCA or EPDs
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Python or similar) and familiarity with AI tools and workflows will be beneficial


Knowledge & Skills
  • Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking
  • Good organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Fluency in english
  • Knowledge of the cement and concrete industry will be beneficial but not essential.


Education / Qualification
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or environmental science

Language Requirements
  • Native or bilingual level of English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Any additional language is a plus
