About the position

Postdoctoral Researcher - Spatial Transcriptomics (Xenium) & Data Analysis

The candidate will generate and analyze new Xenium spatial transcriptomics datasets for the Drosophila model, focusing on immune cell ontologies, neurodegeneration, and neuroblastic tumors. This includes validating existing datasets, optimizing bioinformatics pipelines, and drafting manuscripts for high-impact publications.
The role also involves training lab members on Xenium workflows, organizing workshops for the Scentinel network, and presenting findings at conferences like Dev-Cancer 2026. Protocols will be documented for open science reproducibility.
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Neuroscience, Genomics, or related fields with hands-on experience in spatial transcriptomics (Xenium, Curio), NGS workflows, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Proficiency in Drosophila models and a proven track record in publishing and protocol innovation are essential.

This position offers an excellent scientific environment at IGBMC, access to cutting-edge technologies, and an international network. It provides the opportunity to publish in high-impact journals and strengthen a profile in spatial-omic approaches.
