Devices & Platforms Domain and the Home Devices & Services Team

The Devices & Platforms (D&P) domain brings together consumer devices, platforms, and apps to support the deployment of next-generation digital services for Orange and Deutsche Telekom.

Within D&P, the Home Devices & Services team leads the sourcing strategy for:

• Home gateways and Wi-Fi extenders
• Set-Top Boxes (STB)
• Smart home devices and home digital services
• SIM and eSIM platforms
• IoT devices and related platforms

We operate at the interface of technology, engineering, supply chain, and product strategy-driving innovation and securing competitive, reliable solutions for millions of customers.

Your Mission

As an apprentice in our team, you will support the execution of strategic sourcing and category management activities for key device and service categories.

You will collaborate with procurement managers, cross-functional experts, and international stakeholders to:

• Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring communication on different procurement processes (RFI, RFP).
• Develop forecast and demand plan tool for bottom-up definition and evolution follow-up along the year
• Coordinate with various departments, vendors and partners to ensure content of presentation, meeting minutes and that action points are aligned
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
• Provide administrative support to buyers during their regular activities of sourcing and reporting.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Support

• Assist in planning, structuring, and executing procurement activities (RFI/RFP, supplier assessments, bid analysis)
• Prepare demand forecasts and help maintain bottom-up planning tools for volume evolution across the year
• Support business case preparation through financial, benchmark, and market analyses

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management

• Coordinate with engineering, marketing, finance, legal, and supply chain teams
• Interface with suppliers and partners to consolidate information and ensure alignment on action plans
• Draft executive-level documents: presentations, meeting minutes, decision reports

Market & Innovation Monitoring

• Conduct research on technologies, trends, and competitive landscapes in home connectivity and smart home ecosystems
• Support innovation scouting related to CPE, IoT, smart home devices, and customer experience services

Operational & Reporting Support

• Assist buyers in day-to-day sourcing operations
• Maintain trackers, KPIs, and structured reporting for internal stakeholders and management

Your profile

Education

• Enrolled in a highly reputed Master's program in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Strategic Purchasing
  (e.g., DESMA, MAI, Grenoble EM, Audencia, ESSEC, KEDGE, Dauphine, or equivalent)

Skills & Mindset

• Strong motivation to develop a career in procurement (not a generalist track)
• Analytical, structured thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Solid organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
• Autonomy, curiosity, rigor, and commitment
• Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
• Fluent English is mandatory (written & spoken)
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with analytical tools is a plus
