Senior Embedded Hardware Design Engineer H/F

ContextWithin an R&D team developing embedded electronic products for industrial energy measurement applications, you will contribute to the design and evolution of highly technical digital electronic boards. You will work on end-to-end developments, from requirement analysis and specification through bring-up, validation, and product robustness improvement, in close collaboration with firmware, PCB, validation, and industrialization teams.

Your missions
  • Participate in requirement analysis and hardware architecture function specification.
  • Design digital electronic boards based on MPU / SoC architectures.
  • Integrate associated functions such as memories, clocks, High Speed interfaces & serial buses interface, hardware security, and power conversion.
  • Define and justify design choices with respect to expected performance, robustness, and industrialization.
  • Define and drive PCB layout constraints in coordination with routing specialists (stack-up, impedance, critical signals, manufacturability).
  • Contribute to bring-up, hardware testing, functional validation, and debugging activities.
  • Participate in failure analysis, technical reviews, and continuous improvement of boards and subassemblies.
  • Document technical choices, design constraints, and validation results.


Your Profile
  • Engineering degree in electronics or equivalent.
  • Proven experiences in digital electronic board design in embedded and industrial environments.
  • Strong command of complex digital architectures based on MPU/SoC or equivalent.
  • Experience integrating memories, high-speed interfaces, and power functions.
  • Good understanding of PCB constraints, stack-up, critical signal routing, manufacturability and quality validation techniques (TDR, micro-section).
  • Hands-on experience with lab bring-up and hardware debugging (i.e high-speed oscilloscope).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with PCB designer, industrialization, procurementfirmware and quality.
  • Technical rigor, analytical skills, autonomy, and strong communication abilities.


Additional appreciated skills
  • Knowledge of signal integrity / power integrity topics.
  • Signal integrity (i.e Sigrity) and electric simuation tools (PSpice)
  • Good practices related to EMC / EMI / ESD.
  • DFM / DFT approaches.
  • Experience with electronic design tools such as Cadence / Allegro.
  • capability to define power budget model & drive thermal simulation with experts
  • Understanding of hardware / embedded software interactions, especially during boot and validation phases.


Environment
  • Position based in Eybens / Grenoble area.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Hybrid work organization may be considered depending on project context and level of autonomy.

For this France based position, the expected pay range is EUR 63.200 - EUR 94.800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives (annual bonus) at target. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located in France. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Individual's compensation is positioned within the range based on several factors such as knowledge, job-related skills, experience, potential and relevant education or training.
