Context & Environment

Join TotalEnergies and contribute to subsurface understanding within a global geoscience community supporting the Company's exploration, field development, and reservoir management activities worldwide.

As part of multidisciplinary teams comprising geologists, reservoir engineers, petrophysicists, and development specialists, you will be involved in the acquisition, processing, interpretation, and integration of geophysical data used for subsurface characterization and reservoir evaluation.

Activities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to international exploration, appraisal, and development projects.
  • Designing, analyzing, and optimizing land, marine, and ocean-bottom seismic acquisition campaigns.
  • Ensuring quality control, processing, and imaging of seismic data.
  • Performing structural and stratigraphic seismic interpretation.
  • Contributing to quantitative reservoir characterization studies.
  • Developing rock physics and petroelastic modeling approaches to improve reservoir property prediction.
  • Conducting seismic inversion, AVO, and seismic attribute studies.
  • Integrating geological, geophysical, petrophysical, and well data.
  • Participating in uncertainty assessment and the maturation of exploration and development opportunities.
  • Implementing innovative technologies and advanced digital workflows for geoscience applications.


Candidate Profile

You hold a Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Physics, Geosciences, or a related discipline, with 3 to 7 years of experience in the energy industry, applied research, or a related field.

You have experience in the integration and interpretation of multiple subsurface datasets.

We are seeking candidates with expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Seismic acquisition, processing, and reservoir characterization
  • Rock physics and petroelasticity


You have:

  • Experience in seismic data acquisition, processing, and/or interpretation.
  • Knowledge of reservoir characterization and quantitative geophysics.
  • A solid understanding of rock physics and petroelasticity concepts and applications.
  • The ability to integrate multiple subsurface data sources.
  • A strong interest in digital technologies and innovation.
  • Professional proficiency in English (C1 level).
  • Willingness and ability to undertake national and international assignments.


You are recognized for your ability to broaden your geophysical experience and contribute to a wide range of exploration, development, and reservoir characterization challenges. You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to synthesize complex information, and the capacity to thrive in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
